2013 Season Summary:

Our Crusaders boys had a great season, sharing many highlights and good times, unfortunately they could not pull through when it mattered most. A great early start to the season with winning the crusader challenge, ended in a poor showing in the second half of the season. The coaches would like to thank each and every player for their efforts on and off the field to make this season what it was. You all represented our school well.

Semi Finals

The Holy Cross boys finished off their season last night, but unfortunately it was not in the manor they had hoped to do so. The boys faced a strong Regi side and went down early with on a penalty shot. This early deficit proved devastating and the boys never recovered; conceding two more goals in the course of the game. A great effort boys.

Quarter Finals

The boys took on the Ernestown Eagles today to see who would advance on to the Semi Finals of playoff action. The game was hard fought and a tremendous performance from the Crusader boys allowed them to walk away with the victory with a scoreline of 4-0. Another outstanding goaltending performance by rookie netminder Mitchell Barr and a goal by Nate Kellar. The boys move on to face Regi on Friday here at home.

Friday, May 10, 2013

Another great performance by the senior boys led to another win by a large margin as they walked over and disorganized Lasalle side 4-0. Nate Kellar was finally able to crack a 5 year home scoring drought as he led the team through to the big win. Mitchell Barr earned his 4th clean sheet of the season. The Crusader boys will face Ernestown in the first game of the playoffs on Wednesday.

Wednesday, May 8, 2013

A great effort by the Crusaders boys as they pushed past MR today in a 7-1 stomping. Highlights included a hat trick from Nick Gallagher and a phenomenal debut performance from defender Jeremy Pendergast who scored two beautiful goals and almost added a third late in the game. The boys hope to add to this performance on Friday against the always challenging Lasalle Black Knights.

Monday, May 6, 2013

The Senior Boys team participated in the Father Stan Memorial today and lost a hard fought game to Regi 2-1. An early free kick goal put the Crusaders down, but they climbed back to 1-1 before letting in a late goal on a lethal Regi counter attack. A great effort by all the boys!

Wednesday, May 1, 2013

The Crusaders fought a hard game against a tough opponent and came out with the tie 1-1. The Sydenham Golden Hawks put up a great fight and the Crusaders were right their to match their effort. The season continues Monday against arch rivals Regi.

In tonight's match-up the Crusaders boys will take on the Sydenham Golden Hawks. Both teams are off to a great start in their season and this will be a match to watch. Come out and support your Crusaders at Sydenham at 4 p.m.

Monday, April 29, 2013

After a slow start Friday afternoon, the boys took control of the tournament, allowing only 2 goals against. Goals were scored by Mike Shaver, Nate Kellar, Brayden Roy, Ryan Penney, Jose Hernandez. Jacob Mansfield scored the golden goal in overtime to win the tournament against St. Joe's of Cornwall with a final 2-1. Great showing boys. Monday, April 22, 2013

The Crusaders boys pulled off another great win in a tight match against Frontenac winning 1-0. The boys played hard even when down to 10 men. Nick Gallagher scored the lone goal and Mitchell Barr earned his second shut out of the season. Nate Kellar was robbed of the best goal of his career by a questionable call from the ref. The boys will be practicing all week in preparation for their tournament on Friday and Saturday.

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

Congratulations to the Senior Boys Soccer team, who opened up their season with a very convincing 3-0 win over Ernestown yesterday at Queen's University's North field. The boys dominated play and got into a strong rhythm with goals from Ryan Kaiser, Jacob Mansfield and Nate Kellar. Mitchell Barr earned the clean sheet with the help of a strong defensive front that barely allowed any shots on net.
