Mackler’s talk included maps and satellite images to outline the path of totality for students interested in viewing the eclipse on Monday in the Kingston region, recommended apps for tracking the eclipse and covered safe viewing options.

“Everyone can agree, Mr. Mackler did a fantastic job! He prepared students for continued learning by providing a ton of resources and did a great job supporting messaging around the safe use of eclipse glasses, as supplied to us from Queen’s University” said Robin Dzierniejko, Vice-Principal of RNDCHS.  “Mr. Mackler’s ability to make real world links to bring science to life for students was an exemplary example of cross curricular work at its finest”, said Dzierniejko.
