Since 2007, the ALCE Foundation has provided over $500,000 in financial aid to support more than 1,400 students and their families. This assistance is discreetly facilitated through a collaborative process involving schools and the Office of the Director of Education, acting on behalf of the Foundation. Our primary objective is to assist families within our school communities who require immediate financial aid during challenging times, addressing unexpected expenses like eyeglasses, medical supplies, food, clothing, and transportation. If your family is in need of urgent assistance, please reach out to your school's Principal.
Contributions to the Foundation are welcome from individuals, schools, or community groups, and there are various ways to make a meaningful impact. You can participate in special events organized at your school, like 'Toonie Tuesday,' make direct donations, or set up payroll deductions. Each year, the ALCDSB hosts the ALCE Foundation Charity Golf Tournament, with all proceeds benefiting the Foundation. Individuals and businesses are invited to participate in this fun event. Sponsorship is available and details are posted each Spring on the Board's website.
