Students working on Inuit paintingsOn May 6, Sacred Heart Catholic School Batawa students participated in the first annual Inuit Games.

Students at Sacred Heart Catholic School Batawa are organized into ten houses- Quinte, Hercules, Severn, Algonquin, St. James, St. Francis, Bata, Boomerang, Bleasdell and Lakeshore- and each house rotated through various events.

Earlier this year Mr. Evans learned about Inuit Games and wanted to bring the idea to Sacred Heart. The day's event included making inukshuks, outdoor games, drumming, snack stop with traditional foods, making Inuit prints and learning about teepee's with Mr. McDonald.
