To kick off Mental Health Week, Nicholson Catholic College students and staff came together to create a full day of fun, calming activities for the entire school. The Health and Wellness Day allowed students and staff to choose four sessions (conference style) that they were interested in.
In preparation for the day, the Mental Health Ambassadors shared a survey with fellow students to see what they wanted to do in efforts to relieve stress.
The following sessions were offered:
Tai Chi, Yoga, Classic Board Games, Tabata Boot Camp, Art Therapy, Open Gym, Meditation, Sound Therapy, Virtual Reality, Comic Relief, Just Dance, Breakout rooms, Movies and Quiet Lounge.
The Nicholson Catholic College community also enjoyed a BBQ lunch as an entire school.
