Students explore Museum of Health Care

students working in their journals at the museumBeyond Classrooms Kingston moves teachers and their classrooms into community museums, art galleries and community sites for an entire week. The host site becomes an extension of the teahcer's classroom, where he or she can help students enhance their literacy, critical thinking and problem solving skills, in an authentic environment.

During the week of April 24 - 28, Ms. Douglas'  grade 4/5 class from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School moved beyond their classroom to the Museum of Health Care in Kingston.

Students had the opportunity to learn how health care has evolved through various hands on activities within the museum and with special guests.

Beyond Classrooms Kingston is now calling for expressions of interest from educators interested in experiencing a Beyond Classrooms Kingsotn week in the 2017/2018 school year. For more information, please visit: Teacher Information
