Grade 7 & 8 Mathletes Recognized at Annual ALCDSB Tournament

​On June 6, 2022, the annual ALCDSB Math Tournament for students in grades 7 and 8 took place at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School in Kingston. 

Sixty-six mathletes from across the ALCDSB gathered, some competitors travelled from as far as Sacred Heart Catholic School in Batawa. The participants worked tirelessly on challenging math problems at the day-long event.

Congratulations to all ALCDSB mathletes who competed in the event for their enthusiastic participation.

The ALCDSB math tournaments will return next year to recognize and honour the excellence of ALCDSB mathletes.

Top individual honours go to:

1st place – Grace  (École Catholique Cathédrale)​​

2nd place – Luca (St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Catholic School)

3rd place – Ben (St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Catholic School)

4th place – Jacob (St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Catholic School)

5th place – Dulten (Sacred Heart Catholic School, Batawa)

The tournament champions were Team 6 from Mother Teresa Catholic School A (80.17) coached by Thomas Doyle.
