ALCDSB is committed to providing a welcoming and caring environment for ALL students, regardless of their religious background or affiliation. We encourage you to get in touch with your local Catholic School if you have any questions about our schools, our programs, or our school board. 

Please note that the new Kingston West Catholic School build is scheduled to be completed for the 2023/24 school year which may impact catchments. Further information is available here​. Parents of Kinder registrations that fall within the boundaries of the Kingston West Catholic School will be confirmed prior to September of 2023.​

Kindergarten Registration​​

ALCDSB offers pre-registration online for all incoming kindergarten students. This application will take approximately 15 minutes. After you complete this form, you will still need to call the school to complete the registration. 

Ministry of Education Age of Admission:
A child may be enrolled to start Junior Kindergarten in September of the calendar year in which they turn four years of age. This means that a child may been enrolled to start Junior Kindergarten in September of 2023 a long as they turn four years old by December 31, 2023.

Please make sure to have the following documentation with you as well to complete registration.

  • Birth Certificate
  • Baptismal Certificate
  • Taxation Information
  • Proof of Residency
  • Relevant custody documents
  • Relevant medical documents

ALCDSB Kindergarten programs focus on academic successfaith formation, and programs for children with special needs, all within a play-based learning environment.  Teachers and Early Childhood Educators work together to develop your child’s natural curiosity and excitement for learning.  Our schools ensure a caring and safe environment for your children, all while staying committed to the use of advanced technology in the classroom. Your child can begin Kindergarten in September of that calendar year during which your child becomes four years of age.  To register, please use our easy online pre-registration,​ visit your local school, or call to set up an appointment.

How do I Re-Direct my Tax Support?

Catholic Ratepayers have the unique opportunity to choose to declare their support designation for Catholic Education. When you designate your tax support for Catholic Schools, you are sending the government a powerful message. You are making your voice heard in support of Catholic Education—a right of Catholics in Ontario for over 150 years

How do I redirect my taxes to support Catholic Schools?

If you are:

  • ​​​A sole owner or tenant and you are a Roman Catholic
  • One of 2 joint owners or tenants of your home and both of you are Roman Catholic

You need to complete the ​Direction of School Support Form

If you are:

  • One of 2 joint owners or tenants of your home, but only one of you is a Roman Catholic

You need to complete the following forms

Completed forms should be forwarded to: MPAC, 1340 Pickering Parkway, Suite 101, Pickering ON L1V 0C4
Or if you prefer, you may submit your completed form electronically by using the link on the MPAC Website​.

What if I Don't have a Birth Certificate for my Child?
If you have recently applied for a birth certificate, but do not have it at the time you enrol your child, schools may accept the following as temporary proof of age until the original birth certificate is received by you:

  • Letter signed by the child's doctor, on the Doctor's letterhead, confirming the date of birth of your child.

  • Copy of completed application for child's Birth Certificate.

  • Registered mail or courier receipt as confirmation that the Birth Certificate application has been submitted to the Office of the Registrar General.
