Ontario invests in J.J O'Neill Catholic School

​JJON exterior.JPGThe Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board is pleased to share that Ontario is investing $9.9 million to update J.J O'Neill Catholic School, located in Napanee.

This improvement will include updates for 331 student spaces as part of the province's capital investment program to support students with better learning spaces.

Highlights of this project include:

  • 331 elementary student spaces
  • 49 new licensed child care spaces
  • 3 new child care rooms

    β€œThis news is very exciting for our Catholic learning community in Napanee. This school improvement will provide additional opportunities for our students to excel in a modern, accessible and state-of-the-art facility," said David DeSantis, Director of Education. β€œI look forward to working with our team and the school community on this exciting project. We thank the province for the productive collaboration and investment in our Catholic schools."

    More information on this exciting project will be shared with J.J O'Neill Catholic School families, staff and the community as soon as it becomes available.

    The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board serves approximately 12,000 students, employs over 1,400 full-time equivalent staff and covers a geographical area of more than 16,000 square kilometers.
