Tuesday, December 1 marked the Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board's Inaugural meeting for the 2021 term.

Tom Dall of Belleville was acclaimed as the Board's new Chair, along with Michael Murphy of Kingston as Vice Chair, and Christopher Wright of Carrying Place as Chair of the Finance and Operations Committee.

β€œThe COVID19 pandemic has tested our Board with a host of new challenges and obstacles. It is my distinct honour to say how impressed, and grateful I am for the wonderful response and dedication to excellence our staff, educators, and community partners have shown throughout this unprecedented global crisis," said Dall during his Inaugural address to the Board.

Dall said that even though schools look and feel different this year due to enhanced safety protocols and greater utilization of remote learning, he is confident students and educators will continue to contribute to the unique community atmosphere ALCDSB is known for.

The Inaugural meeting officially commences the 2021 Board Year. β€‹
