Jean Vanier Statement

ALCDSB Burgundy logoCROPPED.pngThe Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board community is deeply sadden by the recent reports of sexual abuse by Jean Vanier, founder of L'Arche.

We understand that many students, staff and families will be affected by this news and our Catholic school communities will support those who may be impacted. We recognize that Jean Vanier was an icon to many within our community and we will work together to find peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this tragic news.
