In follow up to ALCDSB's commitment to youth engagement and capturing youth voice, the Mental Health Leadership Team was pleased to host students from each of our secondary schools to attend a day of learning and collaboration at the Frink Centre on May 8.

The intention of this day was to facilitate open discussion about current mental health initiatives, needs, and strengths and to identify future directions for partnership between staff and youth within ALCDSB.

The day highlighted the importance of youth voice and engagement in mental health promotion planning at ALCDSB, the foundation for creating a 'Mentally Healthy School,' a discussion of individual school projects and initiatives, and activities promoting the importance of overall health and well-being.

Thank you to all of the students and staff who participated!
