Exam Schedule Update

January 24, 2019

ALCDSB LogoDue to inclement weather during the week of January 21, the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board chose to delay the formal examination period for secondary students. This delay was made to best support student review, culminating and summative activities.

The following is the revised exam schedule for St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School (Belleville), Nicholson Catholic College (Belleville) and St. Paul Catholic Secondary School (Trenton).

Thursday, January 24: All buses cancelled in Belleville and Quinte region

Friday, January 25: Regular class schedule

Monday, January 28: Period 1 (AM)  and Period 2 (PM) Exams

Tuesday, January 29: Period 3 Exams

Wednesday, January 30: Period 4 Exams

Thursday, January 31:  Instructional Day

This allows students to have ample studying time and an opportunity for face-to-face communication with educators, which they may have missed due to the inclement weather days that resulted in cancellation of buses.

This schedule supports student learning and provides them with the best opportunity for success in their exams.

All schools will provide students with their revised exam schedules and provide any additional support that students may need during this time. If anyone has any questions about the schedule, please contact your school.

The examination period for Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School (Kingston) and Regiopolis-Notre Dame Catholic High School (Kingston) will remain as scheduled from Friday, January 25 to Wednesday, January 30 and Thursday, January 31 is an instructional day.

The first day of the second semester for all secondary students is Monday, February 4, 2019.
