Holy Rosary Catholic School had applied for a $30 000 Literacy Fund Grant through Indigo Love of Reading Foundation, both this year and last.  Last year the school didn't place, but received feedback on how to improve the grant application this year.  They even added a video to go along with this year's application.

This year, Holy Rosary Catholic School placed in the top 30!  The grant committee was "impressed by our commitment to literacy education at our school and the programming we have in place to support this commitment".  In recognition of this accomplishment, and to celebrate their commitment to literacy, the Foundation has partnered with First Book Canada to support the school library.

That recognition came in the form of 1500 books delivered to the school!

In the shipment are books for the school library and books to send home for summer reading.

A special thank you to the Literacy Committee Members: Jennifer Chicoine, Kelly Darling, Moira McLelland and Jessica Vanderlaak.
