The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board (ALCDSB) is proud to announce positive results from the latest EQAO assessments. We are pleased to share that we have seen growth in all areas—reading, writing, and math—in both Grade 3 and Grade 6 EQAO results. This improvement reflects the dedication and hard work of our educators, students, and families, as well as the impact of targeted programs across our Board, such as the Math Action Plan and the Science of Reading.
In addition, our Grade 9 Math and Grade 10 Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) scores have remained consistent with last year’s numbers, demonstrating ongoing stability and commitment to student achievement at the secondary level.
"These results are a testament to the collaborative efforts within our school communities and our continued focus on academic excellence," said Sonya Melim, Superintendent of Education. "We are happy to celebrate these results and are aware there is still room to grow and focus on supporting every learner."
