Students of Georges Vanier Catholic School were treated to a performance of three Shakespearian plays in under an hour.
Kindergarten to Grade 8 students watched the production of The Tempest, Twelfth Night, and Midsummer Night’s Dream in three acts. It was performed and produced by the Grade 7-8 class of Mrs. Pericak.
Through Pericak’s supervision, they further studied the three Shakespeare plays and from then on each student got to pick which play they’d want to partake in for the production.
“I basically just guided and supervised, but really this is their genius. They reinterpreted the play, wrote their own scripts, and also designed their own props and costumes,” Pericak adds.
