A Few More Items October 23

November 13, 2017

Wear Purple Day: October is Child Abuse Prevention Month. On October 24, 2017 schools across the province will Dress Purple and speak up for the rights of children and youth to safety and well-being to show their commitment to the rights of children and youth to safety and well-being.

We would like to invite anyone with purple to wear it proudly tomorrow.

Head Lice: Spring and fall are the seasons when Head Lice commonly infest school children. There have been cases in the school. Please check your child's head weekly. If you find evidence of head lice or nits, information about how to remove is available from your family doctor, the school, health unit and most pharmacies. Information is also available at the school.

Ms Leeanne Amell: Ms Amell, our Youth Worker has accepted the position of Attendance Counselor for our Board and began her new duties today. She will remain in that position for the remainder of the school year. Ms Connie Stewart will be  replacing her at the school. If you would like to contact her for any reason please contact the school.

Remembrance Day: Remembrance Day falls on Saturday this year. Our school mass is on Friday the 10th. We will have our school Remembrance Day Observance on Thursday November 9th at 10:50 in the gym.
