The first week of school is done. Routines are getting in place and your children are already well engaged in their learning path for the year. We had our first fire drill today and the students did a great job.
On a personal note, I would like to thank the St Thomas More community for making me feel so welcome.
Just a few reminders and updates:
Return school information forms – just a reminder to return all the forms to school. We rely on that information to ensure that we are able to contact you in case of emergency. If your contact information changes during the school year, please contact the office.
Hot lunches/Milk – Hot lunch orders will be available next week with the program set to begin early October. We are going to try something new this year that we are asking families to order milk for a couple of months at a time. Order forms will be going home next week.
Catholic School Council Meeting - Our First Catholic School council meeting will take place on Thursday September 14th at 7:00. All parents are invited and encouraged to become involved. School Council meetings are open to all parents. Items for discussion are submitted to the council chair before the meetings.
School Mass – Our First School Mass is scheduled to take place next Friday, September 15th at 10:10 at St Joseph Catholic Church - all parents are invited to join us.
St Thomas More Open House - Please save the date for our annual Barbeque and Open House scheduled for Thursday September 21 from 5:30 - 7:00pm.
Terry Fox Walk - we are getting ready for the Annual Terry Fox walk during the final week of September. More information will be coming home shortly.
