Dear parents/guardians, We will be having a spirit week from April 25 – 29 to acknowledge that April is Autism Awareness Month. Each day, the students will learn some new information about Autism and have a chance to dress up for the spirit days connected to Autism. Please see below for a Spirit Day schedule World Autism Acceptance Celebrations Monday- Wear red to show your support and acceptance of people with Autism. What’s Your Passion Tuesday - People with Autism can be extremely passionate about what interests them. Their characteristics create a personality that is incredibly focused on topics of interest. What are you passionate about? Dress up to show something you love. Neurodiversity Wednesday - To celebrate the beauty in the diverse spectrum of the human mind, wear rainbow and/or tie-dyed clothes to school. Sensory Friendly Thursday- Dress up in your most comfy clothes (including school-appropriate pjs), use as much natural light in your classroom instead of fluorescents and/or wear sunglasses.
