Our school Track and Field Meet for students in grades 3-8 will take place on Tuesday, May 23rd at Caraco Field at the Invista Centre, RAIN or SHINE! If we need to cancel due to severe weather, we will use our school communications system to inform parents. *There will not be a canteen or cafeteria services available. All participants are encouraged to bring healthy snacks, lots of water, and a big lunch. Students are encouraged to save their treats until after they have competed. *Hats and sunblock are an absolute necessity! Please also dress for the weather (extra layers in the event the temperatures are on the cool side). *The school’s usual expectations regarding behaviour apply. *To ensure student safety, all students must go on the bus with their classroom teachers and (if at all possible) return to school with their classes. If you absolutely need to sign your child out from the field, it is very IMPORTANT that you see your child’s classroom teacher to sign out your child. This will ensure that we have all the children that we should have before returning to the school. *Everyone is reminded not to leave any garbage on the grounds. *Parents are reminded not to interfere with those facilitating various events (race timers, those measuring long jump or shot put, etc.). We are asking for $7.50 per student to help cover roughly half of the cost of the bus and the use of the field.
