Georges Vanier Catholic School Short-Listed for 2025 OCSTA Short Video Contest

The contest invited Catholic school students across the province to create videos reflecting the 2025 Catholic Education Week theme “Pilgrims of Hope: On the Path to Holiness.”

A total of 57 submissions were received from Catholic elementary and secondary schools, with 12 videos selected for the final round — six elementary and six secondary.

Georges Vanier’s video, titled “2025 OCSTA Short Video,” appears as the final entry under the Elementary Schools voting panel.

About the Theme

This year’s theme invites students to reflect on how hope is lived out through action. Drawing from Scripture, “Pilgrims of Hope” emphasizes how following the example of Jesus can bring communities peace, compassion, and strengthened faith.

How to Vote

Voting is open to all Trustees, students, staff, families, and community members.
Support our students by casting your vote before Monday, December 29 at 11:59 p.m.

  2. Click Create Account

  3. Once created, scroll down and select Login

  4. Return to the Video Contest Voting page

  5. Select Elementary Schools to vote for Georges Vanier’s video (screenshot above for specific location of the video)

  6. Select Secondary Schools to cast your secondary school vote

A Celebration of Catholic Education

These student-created videos highlight acts of kindness, Christian service, and the call to be Pilgrims of Hope. OCSTA notes that this annual project continues to bring joy during Advent and showcases the creativity and faith-filled leadership present in Catholic schools across Ontario.
