SHINE Club Seeking Volunteer Facilitators

The SHINE Club is seeking self-identified racialized BIPOC volunteer facilitators who want to work with racialized BIPOC children, within ALCDSB schools, and children/youth serving organizations in the Trenton, Belleville and Kingston areas.

Volunteer facilitators will be provided with:

  • Facilitator training to foster resilience in young children
  • Access to easy-to-follow lesson plans
  • Constant and ongoing guidance and support
  • An opportunity to cultivate community

Your Commitment:

  • 2 hours a week (during the weekdays) in local schools
  • Currently recruiting for evenings, weekends, and summer programming
  • Attend ongoing support sessions
  • A desire to work with children

Eligibility:

  • Have a desire to work and make a difference with children
  • Self-identity as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Colour
