Dear families,

As your child prepares to enter grade seven, I am excited to share information with you regarding the exciting initiative for Intermediate students: Curiosity Creates Change (C3).

C3 is an initiative embedded in all ALCDSB Intermediate classrooms through teaching the curriculum with a student-centered learning approach. Learning begins with activating curiosity and wonder. This deepens student engagement and fosters student growth.

The foundations of the C3 Program are grounded in Inquiry Based Learning. At the heart of this work is hands on, interactive learning activities which foster creativity, develop communication skills, provide meaningful collaboration, opportunities with peers, and foster critical thinking. A key focus in this initiative is STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

As this work is classroom based, all Grade 7 and 8 students have equal opportunity to C3, and you do not have to enroll or apply to participate.
