ABA Skill Building Groups

ALCDSB logoWhat is the ABA Skill Development Program?
This program is offering free skills development programming to children/youth diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). The program will focus on teaching a variety of skills including social, emotional regulation,  daily living, and communication based on the needs of the child.

Who can join?
Students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, aged 3 to 21, of the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic   District School Board.  Programming will be developed based on age, location and skill. Students who are engaging in both remote and in-person learning are eligible to apply to the program.

When and where?
In-person groups will occur weekly during the school day during non-instructional times (recess and nutrition breaks). In-person groups will only be offered to students in the same cohorts. Virtual groups will be offered weekly during various times including during the school day and after school hours.
