To celebrate April’s Poetry Month, RND’s English Department is once again running its annual Poetry Contest, now in its 22nd year! All students are encouraged to submit their poetry entries. A maximum of three entries is allowed. Students need to email their submissions to their English teacher or directly to Mr. Ows with the subject line: POETRY CONTEST 2024 + NAME + GRADE. All poems will be judged “blind”, so names should not appear on the poem submission. A published poet will serve as our judge, awarding cash prizes for Junior (Gr. 9 and 10) and Senior Divisions (Gr. 11-12). Deadline for submission is April 30th.
