The ALCDSB Indigenous Student Leadership Group is hosting a two-day event, from May 6 - 7, to celebrate and to focus on the brilliance of Indigenous Women.
Students from all five secondary schools have come together in and with community to attend the
Celebration of Influential Indigenous Women at St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School in Belleville.
Faith Wilson, speaker, and Melissa Brant, artist, from the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory talked about their experiences and the artworks on display. The focus of today's program was to explore themes of ‘Responsibility’ and ‘Commitment to Action’.
