​Support Staff Process​

The Board employs staff in a number of support areas including administration, early childhood educators, educational assistants, custodians, library staff, information technology, clerical staff, child and youth workers, ESL instructors, yard and lunch supervisors, social workers, speech and language pathologists, psychologists, and maintenance staff.

How to Apply for Employment:

To apply for employment with our Board, start with a covering letter referencing the job posting for which you are applying or the type of position you are interested in, include a detailed resumé outlining your work history, education, special skills and qualifications (provide supporting documentation, as required), and provide  references. If you are applying for an educational assistant or early childhood educator position, or to be placed on our supply educational assistant or early childhood educator list, your package must be submitted through http://www.applytoeducation.com/

We require the following documentation:  resume with cover letter, pastoral letter of reference from your Catholic Priest dated within one year (for ECE candidates), two professional references.

If an offer of employment is made, you will be required to submit a Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen (original document only) (current within six months of date of hire). We recommend that you not attach this document to your electronic application.  Please note that an acceptable Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen is required as a condition of employment and you cannot commence employment with the Board without one.

Temporary and Casual Work Assignments

If you are interested in temporary work assignments, you may wish to be considered for the Board's approved supply list.  You may submit a full resumé to our Department, or via http://www.applytoeducation.com/ for consideration to be placed on our approved supply list. We have a need from time-to-time to replace secretaries, educational assistants, clerks (Payroll, Accounting, Assessment, Human Resources), caretaking and technicians for short periods of time. Applications are reviewed and assessed, and the chosen candidates are placed on an approved list for placement when referred. Availability when called upon is of ultimate importance to remain on the approved supply list.

Due to volume, we cannot contact all applicants, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Unsolicited applications will be held for a period of one year and are reviewed based on system needs.
