"See Me in ALCDSB" Staff Census Closes June 9

May 25, 2023

Staff See Me in ALCDSB - Twitter Post.pngStaff of the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board are being invited to participate in the voluntary, anonymous, and confidential "See Me in ALCDSB" Staff Census. The results of the census will be used to understand the current demographic makeup of the Board’s workforce, and to identify any barriers to equity and inclusion.

The survey is available on the staff portal for all employees of the ALCDSB to complete from May 29 to June 9, 2023.

  • For secondary schools, time will be provided during the June 2 PD activities (fifteen (15) minutes) to allow you to access technology and complete the survey.

If you do not have access to technology, please make arrangements with your supervisor.

  • For elementary schools, fifteen(15) minutes will be provided on the June staff meeting for this purpose.

The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board strives to promote a culture of equity, as articulated in both the Board’s Equity Plan and the Multi-Year Strategic Plan. We imagine a world where all are empowered to reach their full potential through faith and service. To these ends, we want to strive toward a workforce that represents the communities we serve. We want to ensure we are providing opportunities for all staff to reach their full potential by removing barriers to inclusion allowing everyone to fully participate and to feel valued as an employee of the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board.

The survey is voluntary, anonymous, and confidential. In order to ensure that we have meaningful data with which to inform our decisions making around equity and inclusion in the workplace, we encourage all staff to complete the survey.

The higher the response rate, the more reliable the information will be to help us identify and remove systemic barriers.

The information gained from the census will be used to develop and implement strategies to support employment equity including, but not limited to equity-seeking groups who may experience barriers in hiring and advancement. The goal aligns with the Board’s vision: “We imagine a world where all are empowered to reach their full potential through faith and service.”
