“The Branch” won in Kimmie's age category

Kimmie said she liked “The Branch” as she managed to capture a bit of nature. “This is my favourite picture because the camera is close up to the leaf and the bit of ice on the leaf is pretty. I like how the leaf is clear and the background is blurry.”

Bay of Quinte youth between the ages of 7 and 14 were invited to submit photos taken of people, places or things during the last year within the Bay of Quinte RMB's partner communities of Belleville, Brighton, Greater Napanee, the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte and Quinte West.

A photography show featuring winning photos from the Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board’s Student Photography Contest will be on display at the Quinte Arts Council (QAC) Gallery from Thurs. Feb. 9 to Feb. 28.
