The combined gift of $2,500.00 has contributed to the purchasing of battery-operated tools for outdoor use by Grade 11 and 12 students in the Construction Technology program. Having access to portable power tools at the site’s exterior shed building area will allow students to work without the limitations of requiring a power source.

The donation of funds was put towards the purchase of the following battery-operated tools:
  • Battery powered palm sanders (3) donated by Milwaukee Tool
  • Battery powered 12" compound mitre saw and battery powered table saw donated by The Pink Ball Golf Classic and Fastenal Canada.
The ALCDSB Tech Site has been servicing Sir James Whitney students as well as students from Nicholson Catholic College and St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School in Belleville and St. Paul Catholic Secondary School in Trenton for the past 17 years.

In addition to Construction Technology, the site offers Grade 11 and 12 students access to Transportation Technology, Hairdressing and Aesthetics and Hospitality and Tourism program.
