Board Submits Balanced Budget

The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board approved a balanced operating budget of $163.3 million and a capital budget of $21 million for the 2020-21 school year at the special Board Meeting held August 19, 2020. The budget is reflects funding information released by the Ministry of Education on June 19, 2020. The budget demonstrates the commitment of the Board of Trustees to meet the needs of the students within the confines of the provincial funding model. The budget aligns with the Board’s Strategic Plan and the Ministry of Education’s goals which include achieving excellence, ensuring equity, promoting well-being and enhancing public confidence.

The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board serves over 11,000 elementary and secondary students, over 1,300 full-time equivalent staff and covers a geographical area of more than 16,000 square kilometres.​
