September 13, 2019

We want to hear from YOU as we work to create a new MYSP for the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board!  Send us your thoughts:

Every school board in Ontario is governed by a board of trustees that has a legislated requirement to ensure the creation of a multi-year strategic plan (MYSP).

What is a Multi Year Strategic Plan?

Strategic Directions are the Board's way of ensuring that our students continue to receive quality Faith-based Catholic education throughout their years as students, and in preparing them to be caring and contributing members of their community.    The MYSP is comprised of Strategic Directions and Strategic Initiatives, which are constantly being reviewed and checked by Senior Administration to ensure that these continue to meet the Board's goal of quality education.

How are we developing a new Multi Year Strategic Plan?

As we enter the 2019/2020 school year, we want to hear from students, parents/guardians, staff and community partners on what ALCDSB does well and how we can improve to best prepare our students for the future.

As we embark on creating a new Multi-Year Strategic Plan, we want your input!

You will be asked to share your thoughts on one open-ended question:

What are the most important things our Catholic schools should consider as we work together to prepare our students for their future?

Once the data from the survey is collected, the MYSP Steering Committee will review the data and this will help us to identify strategic priorities. The committee is comprised of board staff, school staff, students, parents/guardians and community members.

The 2020-2025 Multi Year Strategic Plan

Once the data has been reviewed, the Multi Year Strategic Plan will be formed and approved by the Board of Trustees.

The strategic direction and initiatives that comes out of the Multi Year Strategic Plan will be reviewed by Senior Administration throughout the school years to ensure that these strategies continue to meet the Board's goal of excellence in Catholic education.

If you have any questions about the Multi-Year Strategic Plan, the Thoughtexchange Survey or community meetings, please contact your local Catholic school.

Thank you for your participation!
