ALCDSB Grade 5/6 Math Tournament

June 19, 2019

On June 14, ALCDSB held its first 5-6 Math tournament at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys C.S. with 13 math teams.  Congratulations to all the mathletes who participated in this most exciting and fun math tournament from St. Martha, JJ O'Neill, St. John XXIII, St. Paul(Kingston), Our Lady of Lourdes, Ecole Cathedral, St. Marguerite Bourgeoys, St. Francis of Assisi and Mother Teresa.  Many thanks go to Carmine Minutillo (Principal), Ms. Gosia Rutkowska and Andrew Eves for their support and cooperation.

In honour of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys' 400th anniversary, top mathletes from across the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic School Board competed in a full day of fun and challenging math problems.  We were privileged to have Sr. Rosemary and Sr. Mildred of the Congregation of the Sisters of Notre Dame award the team medals and the champion math team from St. Paul C.S. with the St. Marguerite Award.  The Sisters of Notre Dame generously donated this beautiful trophy in honour of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys.
