TechFest 2019 - ALCDSB Staff Registrations

TechFest 2019 will take place on April 5, 2019.  It is designed to provide professional development for all educators in the areas of embedding technology and implementing UDL at the classroom and school level. TechFest 2019 is an opportunity for us to come together, share and celebrate our work as Catholic educators.  

Nicholson Catholic College, Belleville Registration:

Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School, Kingston Registration:

All participants, including presenters, are to complete online registration before 4:00 p.m. on March 30.

Educator employee groups are invited to participate in this professional development event.  Secretaries and custodians are to report to their school sites on April 5th TechFest 2019 participants will hear from two keynote speakers who will describe their UDL journey, including how embedding technology furthered learning opportunities for students.

 In addition, a variety of presenters, many of whom are ALCDSB educators, have volunteered their time to similarly share their learning and experiences in one-hour workshops.  Two sites will be hosting this event: Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School (Kingston) and Nicholson Catholic College (Belleville).  Participants are welcome to choose their preferred location, facilitating proximity to home or opportunity to work with school teams All are encouraged to car pool, as parking is limited at both sites. Mileage will not be provided for this system event.

8:30 a.m. On-site registration 
9:00 a.m. Welcome and Prayer service 

9:15 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. Keynote #1  

10:45 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Break 

11:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. Workshop Session  

12:00 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. Bagged Lunch from Pan Chancho Bakery  

12:45 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. Keynote #2  
2:15 p.m. Wrap-Up and Dismissal
