Principal's Welcome Message

St Mary Catholic School provides our students with a positive and collaborative learning environment.  The students are encouraged to succeed and they are supported in their learning so they may reach their full potential.  The students participate in learning activities that promote the development of their thinking and problem solving skills.  We strive to prepare our students for the challenges of an ever changing world.

Our Catholic values are integrated into the curriculum as students learn about the history and traditions of our faith.  The school enjoys a close relationship with St Charles of Borremeo Catholic Church.  The students participate in daily prayer, liturgical celebrations and monthly school Masses.  In the spring of the year, our Grade Two students receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion while our Grade Seven students receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

There is a strong sense of community at St Mary Catholic Scho ol. Our students also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of special events during the course of the year.  These events range from the annual Terry Fox Run to our Celebration of Christmas and the school Track and Field Meet.  The student council also organizes various events which bring the students together in community and supports various social justice causes.

We encourage all of our parents and guardians to become involved in the life of the school.  A positive relationship between home and school is a key factor in promoting student learning and ensuring ongoing academic success.
