Our community is filled with green spaces perfect for exploring and learning. Our kinder buddies, on their Wondering Wednesday Walks, explore along the Moira River and note the changes of seasons, the budding of leaves, the burrowing of rabbits... Their excitement at the natural world around them leads to inquiries with their intermediate buddies when they return to school. We are blessed to have the Pirate Ship Park green space available close by to play, sing, shout, and enjoy time together.
Holy Rosary Catholic Church is just a short jaunt away. Our walks to monthly Masses are a time for us to reflect on the many blessings God has given us and to enjoy the camaraderie of good friends. Along the way, you are sure to see students tidying green spaces for our neighbours.
The Quinte Sports and Wellness Center hosts a variety of activities for the community, including the annual Cardboard Boat Races hosted by Skills Ontario, which Holy Rosary Catholic School students have participated in. It's also a great place for swim tests in preparation for canoeing trips. You will frequently find our students playing hockey or swimming there as well.
