Principal's Welcome Message

Mr. Muise, Principal

Welcome to St. John XXIII Catholic School. We hope that you find our web site to be informative and useful. As stated in our Mission Statement, we are a "learning community". As a learning community, we depend upon each other in order to provide our students with a wide range of experiences and growth opportunities. We promote spiritual, academic and physical development by offering a full range of programs from Junior Kindergarten to Grade Eight. Additionally, students are encouraged to actively participate in athletics and a number of extra-curricular opportunities, such as the Student Council, the Yearbook Committee and various fundraising initiatives we've identified for this school year.

We promote open home-school communication and utilize varied means to keep everyone informed and up to date. The use of student agendas assists in not only communication, but also serves to keep students organized and focused. Our website, Twitter, and the use of apps such as Remind help to keep our community informed in a timely manner.

Our volunteers are highly valued. Without them, a number of initiatives would simply not be possible. If you are interested in helping out in some fashion, please stop by the office or give us a call to inquire about what opportunities exist.

Our Catholic School Council is very active and very generous in supporting our school community. The council will generally meet on a monthly basis. All meetings are open and everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. Our Catholic School Council is a vital link between all community partners and the School Board as it works to improve and enhance the social, academic, and spiritual opportunities we provide for our students.

Our on-going goal, as a community, is to have home, school, and parish work in collaboration to form a living community with a shared vision that promotes excellence through involvement, and accomplishment through perseverance, all within a visibly Catholic framework.
