​​St. James Major Catholic School is located in the picturesque village of Sharbot Lake, approximately 70 kilometers north of Kingston. It is the only Catholic school in Central Frontenac Township.  St. James Major Catholic School's staff consists of a dedicated team of three Classroom Teachers,  a French as a Second Language Teacher, an Educational Assistant, Administrative Assistant and Custodian along with a Vice-Principal who shares teaching responsibilities. We also appreciate the expertise of a Child and Youth Worker who visits the school weekly. The Principal and Vice-Principal of the school also serves St. Patrick Catholic School, in Harrowsmith.​
