On May 18^th Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School students participated in a "Walk, Wheel or Bus" to school event. This event was designed to promote healthy active living and was jointly sponsored by Holy Cross' Students' Council, Green Team, Wellness Team and the Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Public Health Unit.

Students were dropped off at one of six designated locations where they received a ballot from a team member to enter to win a new bike and helmet. Students then continued on foot to school, where they were greeted with a healthy snack before starting class.

This is just one of the many initiatives at Holy Cross to promote a healthy active lifestyle. New bike racks were also installed at the rear of Holy Cross to encourage students to bike to school and give them a safe place to keep them during the day.
