Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School is a Catholic Secondary School located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, offering education to 1,100 students in grades 9 to 12. Holy Cross provides excellence in Academics, Arts, Athletics, Technology and Religious instruction. The school is part of the Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic District School Board. Holy Cross CSS was established September 1986 and our west end suburban campus opened in 1990. Our team name is the Crusaders and our school colours are hunter green and silver. Founding Principal Mo Daniel created our school motto “Once a Crusader, Always a Crusader”. Notable alumni include: Jayna Hefford (Four time, Team Canada, Women’s Hockey, Olympic Gold Medalist and inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2018); Brent Johnson and Mike McCullough, (Canadian Football League); Jay McKee (National Hockey League) and Paul Ragusa (Canadian Olympic wrestler and coach). Holy Cross is situated on the traditional and ancestral territories of the Anishinaabe and the Haudenosaunee. We acknowledge their enduring presence on this sacred land, as well as the presence of the Metis, Inuit, and other First Nations from across Turtle Island. We honour their cultures and celebrate their commitment to this land.
