ALCDSB families are invited to attend a special presentation on Online Social Media Safety for Caregivers.
Date: Thursday, May 9, 2024 Time: 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Platform: in-person or online Location: St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School (35 Adam St. Belleville) Virtual Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jt9rtZuG3G0 Staff from St. Leonard’s Youth Reach will be talking to parents/caregivers about social media safety. The workshop is humorous and facilitated with videos, and interactive activities for increased participant engagement. In this session you will learn about: serious online risks youth face communication “dos and don’ts” how to have hard conversations about safety receive take home resources to keep the conversation going! This event is being funded by the Ministry of Education’s Parents Reaching Out grant and supports student presentations that have been occurring in ACLDSB schools this year.
