All students attending any ALCDSB school program have access to free short-term virtual psychotherapy through the Brief Telepsychology Service at the Psychology Clinic at Queen's University.

Click HERE for more information and all fees will be covered for ALCDSB students.

ALCDSB mental health professionals are available during the school break to complete well-being check-ins, single or brief psychotherapy sessions with secondary students

Secondary Students Can Self-Refer:

For secondary students ages 12+ (including 2019-20 grade 8 grads)

Go to your Student Virtual Commons (VC), click on the icon that takes you to the “Social Work Referral Form for Students", fill out this form and submit.

Parents/Guardians:

Please contact your child's Secondary Summer Learning teacher or principal for a referral to an ALCDSB Social Worker.

If you are interested in accessing the Brief Telepsychology Service at the Psychology Clinic at Queen's University go HERE for more information and to access the referral form.

Community Services:

Access to local community services is also available at no cost for students and their families. Community services continue to be open and are providing a range of service options including virtual and telephone sessions, and may have in-person supports, however, this will vary depending on the agency. ALCDSB's Mental Health Team can help students and their families navigate and connect with local services that support student well-being.
