Bill McLeod Memorial Wrestling Results 12.10.12 The annual Bill McLeod Memorial Wrestling Tournament took place this Saturday in our gym and was attended by 12 teams totalling 160 wrestlers from across Ontario and Quebec. Of the 25 Regi wrestlers who competed, 4 came away with bronze medals, 7 with silver medals and 4 with gold medals. Particularly strong performances were had by Matt Bishop, Avery Muse and Matt Almeida. The entire girls team, consisting entirely of rookies Eli Afidenyo, Christina Tavares, Katlyn Myles, Rachel Banks and Noelle Bergeron won 3 medals and showed technical superiority beyond expectations. Next action for the Panthers will be a dual meet against cross town rival Holy Cross Crusaders on Wednesday, December 19'th. Renfrew Meet Results 12.03.12 Congratulations to the 16 wrestlers who travelled to Renfrew this weekend to participate in the Valley Classic . The 5 bronze, 4 silver and one gold medal won by individual wrestlers was enough to give the team the junior team silver medal. A great start to the season with strong performances by Avery Muse , Matt Bishop, Justin Fox, Benny Zahra, Angelo Matus-Dias, Allan Killorian, Christina Tavares and Kaitlyn Myles. All RND Student-Athletes must complete and submit to a RND Teacher Coach a Student Athlete Participation Form before participating in any tryout session. These forms can be downloaded and printed (Click Here) for careful completion before the first tryout session. Student Accident Insurance The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board does not provide any accidental death, disability, dismemberments medical/dental expenses insurance on behalf of the students participating on school teams. To cover any potential medical or dental costs, parents are encouraged to consider purchasing the Student Accident Insurance Plan made available by Regiopolis-Notre Dame at the beginning and throughout the school year. Participation is voluntary and costs are to be paid by the parent or guardian. This insurance will provide coverage for school activities as well as activities outside of the school day.
