Senior Girls Volleyball - Back to the Finals 02.16.12 The RND Senior Girls Volleyball team put on an impressive display of serving and hitting dominating the KCVI Blues from the opening point on their way to a 3 - 0 Semi-Final win. This victory qualifies RND for the KASSAA Final on Monday, February 20 in the ARC at Queen's University. The squad will be looking to defend their crown from the winter of 2011. More pre-game details to come. Panther Playoff Production 02.14.12 RND Senior Girls prevailed in 3 straight sets over the Lasalle Black Knights. Emma Lambert was 8/9 to lead the Panther offence and Gabby Halle had 14 service points to lead the serving game. KASSAA Finale - Versus Napanee 02.09.12 The RND Panthers capped off a perfect regular season with a straight set (25-2, 25-20, 25-12) decision over Napanee. The Panthers, who did not drop a set in the season, received a combined 32 service points from setter Eden Hataley and middle Gabby Halle. Libero Mackenzie Arnold and defensive specialist Rachel Bouvier were the players of the game with 6 digs each. Phase Three vs Bayridge 02.07.12 The High School winter sports season has three distinct phases. The final, and most important session, after examinations, began on Tuesday. The RND Panthers played their first league game after the exam break and had a bit of rust in their play (25-12, 25-12, 25-22). Mackenzie Arnold was able to pass a couple of dimes to get the offence rolling allowing Leftsides Emma Stucke and Mary Allward to combine for 12 kills. Setter Eden Hataley led RND with 14 assists. Manic Monday @ RND 01.22.12 RND started slow in the first set but started to pass the ball better in capturing the first set 25-22. RND played better the next 2 sets in sweeping LaSalle 3 games to 0 (25-22,25-17,25-16). Middle Clare Kenney was the player of the game with 5 kills and 5 blocks while libero Mackenzie "Dimes" Arnold led RND with 11 digs. Volleyball - Results from Holy Cross 01.19.12 The RND Panthers remained undefeated on the season defeating the Crusaders from Holy Cross3 games to 0. Leftside Mary Allward led RND with 12 kills while fellow Leftside Emma Stucke had 6 kills and 12 service points. Tuesday North End Battles with the Raiders 01.17.12 RND continued their solid play this season with a straight set victory (25-8,25-10,25-14)over QECVI. Right side Emma Lambert led RND with 8 kills whle right side/setter Kathleen Hogan had 6 kills, 6 assists and 12 service points. Setter Kristin O'Neill had 14 service points and 10 assists. Jump Right Into January 01.07.12 RND shook off the winter rust with a straight set (25-6,25-13,25-17) victory over the Lancers from Loyalist. Setter Kristin O'Neill was the player of the game with 18 assists in playing her best game as a senior. Left side Maddy Londry had 6 kills while middle Gabby Halle had 5 service aces. Downtown Rivalry with the KCVI Blues 12.20.11 KCVI and Regiopolis-Notre Dame are two of Canada's oldest high schools. The rivalry is deep and meaningful to both communities. RND overcame some sloppy passing throughout their match against KCVI to win in straight sets 25-21,25-21,25-18. Libero Mary MacDonald was one of the stars for Regi as she led the team with 9 digs. Leftside Emma Stucke continued her strong play from the weekend tournament in Ottawa and finished with 8 kills. Rightside Emma Lambert came off the bench in the third set to spark the Panthers with 5 kills. AAA Battle Versus Sydenham 12.16.11 Whether traveling north or hosting on Russell St. a battle with the Golden Eagles always brings out the best in both schools. In a battle of unbeaten senior girls teams, the Regiopolis-Notre Dame Panthers swept the Sydenham Golden Eagles 3-0. Set scores were 25-16, 25-14 and 25-21. Regi left sides Emma Stucke and Mary Allward combined for 16 kills, while right side Kathleen Hogan had six kills and three blocks."Two good teams in a potential first-place battle," Panthers coach Pat Farrell said. "Our girls were pretty pumped and pretty focused. And our bench was going crazy (cheering the team) the entire time. That was probably worth 10 points for us." Hosting the Falcons in Volleyball 12.13.11 Senior Girls Volleyball: The RND Pantners overcame many of their own unforced errors in defeating Frontenac 3 games to 0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-19). Left side Mary Allward played a great all around game with 12 kills and 6 digs. Setter Eden Hataley made great decisions all night in running the Panther offense in recording 18 assists. Left side Emily Rowsell came into the third set and recorded 9 service points including the last 7 points of the game. Junior Girls Volleyball: Paola Finizio had 6 kills and Bailey Robertson had 8 digs. Strong serving by veterans Norah Lloyd Ellis, Sadie Morris and Samantha Sutton lead the RND Panthers to a 3-0 victory over the Frontenac Falcons. Sets were 25-16, 25-20 and 25-20 Hosting the Falcons in Volleyball 12.13.11 The RND Pantners overcame many of their own unforced errors in defeating Frontenac 3 games to 0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-19). Full Slate of Games on Thursday12.08.11 The RND Panthers began to their defense of their KASSAA title from last year with a straight set (25-17,25-8,25-20) victory over Ernestown. Setter Eden Hataley ran a smooth offense with 14 assists while left sides Mary Allward and Emma Stucke combined for 10 kills. Winning Ways Carry Over From Last Year For RND 12.04.11 The RND Senior girls volleyball team played in the annual Nicole Schewertner memorial tournament at Queen's on Saturday and had a fantastic day. The girls went undefeated in pool play and beat Albert Campbell College from Toronto in the quarterfinals and Bayside from Belleville in the semifinals. In the finals the Panthers played a very good LoEllen Park team from Sudbury. The Panthers played some great defense and with a lot of energy in defeating LoEllen 2games to1 to take the championship. Setter Eden Hataley and left side Mary MacDonald were named tournament all stars. Middles Cassy Santoni and Claire Kenney were dominant all day with huge blocks and Libero Mackenzie Arnold passed some great balls all day to start the RND offense. Well done ladies!!!!! Winter
Season 2011 - Tryouts
All RND Student-Athletes must complete and submit to a RND Teacher Coach a Student Athlete Participation Form before participating in any tryout session. These forms can be downloaded and printed (Click Here) for careful completion before the first tryout session. Student Accident Insurance The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board does not provide any accidental death, disability, dismemberments medical/dental expenses insurance on behalf of the students participating on school teams. To cover any potential medical or dental costs, parents are encouraged to consider purchasing the Student Accident Insurance Plan made available by Regiopolis-Notre Dame at the beginning and throughout the school year. Participation is voluntary and costs are to be paid by the parent or guardian. This insurance will provide coverage for school activities as well as activities outside of the school day.
