Three-Peat for Junior Girls Volleyball
The Junior Girls Volleyball team capped off an impressive, unbeaten season with a straight set victory over the Falcons of Frontenac in the KASSAA championship game this afternoon. Played on the new court in the Queen's Athletic and Recreation Centre, the Panthers were dominating in the first two sets. In the third set RND fell behind and it looked as if FSS would gain some life and extend the game when RND went to serve trailing 19-23. Kathleen Hogan then reeled off six straight service points and the Panthers sealed the sweep as the Garnet and Gold girls stormed the court to celebrate their championship. The 20 deep squad will next compete in the EOSSAA Junior Girls Volleyball AAA championship tournament scheduled for RND on Friday.
