Downtown Rivalry with the KCVI Blues 12.20.11
KCVI and Regiopolis-Notre Dame are two of Canada's oldest high schools. The rivalry is deep and meaningful to both communities. The Panthers started poorly being outworked by the Blues and falling behind by 12 (28-16) at the half. RND picked up the defensive intensity in the second half forcing numerous turnovers that the Panthers could turn into transition points. RND finally drew even with 3 minutes left as they held the Blues to only 4 points in the fourth quarter. Jamie Wright had 7 of his game high 20 points from the foul line in the fourth quarter as RND confidently closed out the come from behind win.

Building at the Garnet & Gold Classic Tournament 12.22.11
The Panthers went 2 - 1 in the home tournament on the December 16, 17 weekend. An opening game win over the Titans of St. Theresa (Belleville) featured a second half comeback as RND trailed by 7 points at half-time. The Panthers adjusted to the zone press they faced to score consistently in transition. In the Saturday morning semi-final the Panthers were blitzed by the Red Hawks of Smiths Falls. RND struggled to close out on shooters as the opponent buried numerous long range jumpers or then broke down the RND defense with baskets off the fast break. In the third place contest the Panthers recovered strongly controlling the contest from the start versus Mother Teresa from Ottawa.

AAA Battle Versus Sydenham 12.16.11
Whether traveling north or hosting on Russell St. a battle with the Golden Eagles always brings out the best in both schools.
Down by one headed into the final quarter the Panthers put the defensive pressure on the Golden Eagles and cashed several turnovers into points capping a 14- 0 final frame as part of a 41-28 win. RND had a balanced offensive attack as 8 of 10 players scored. One RND post player - Jacob Gordanier - opened the game with 6 consecutive points and another post - Kenton Greenwood - closed the contest with 6 straight. RND High Scorers: Connor Santoni - 10, Jamie Wright - 7.

Hosting the Falcons in Volleyball 12.13.11
Senior Girls Volleyball: The RND Pantners overcame many of their own unforced errors in defeating Frontenac 3 games to 0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-19). Left side Mary Allward played a great all around game with 12 kills and 6 digs. Setter Eden Hataley made great decisions all night in running the Panther offense in recording 18 assists. Left side Emily Rowsell came into the third set and recorded 9 service points including the last 7 points of the game.
Junior Girls Volleyball: Paola Finizio had 6 kills and Bailey Robertson had 8 digs. Strong serving by veterans Norah Lloyd Ellis, Sadie Morris and Samantha Sutton lead the RND Panthers to a 3-0 victory over the Frontenac Falcons. Sets were 25-16, 25-20 and 25-20
