EOSSAA Tennis 05.24.10 Congratulations to the 2010 RND Co-Ed Tennis Team on their second place showing at the EOSSAA Tennis Championships yesterday. In tight fought battle with rivals KC, Regi came up 5 points short of victory (32-27) in their bid for a second straight EOSSAA tennis crown. Individual junior champions Jamie Wright and Connor Santoni continued their winning ways in boy s doubles and Emma Lambert and Clare Kenney were redeemed with the championship medals in girl s doubles. Special mention goes out to Amanda Polus for her valiant effort in the senior girl s final coming up just short for the second week in a row. Good luck to Amanda Polus, Ben Plazzotta and Shelby Jansen as they represent Regi at the OFSSA Tennis Championships in Toronto at the Rexall Center this upcoming Monday and Tuesday. KASSAA Tennis Championship See RND Recapture the Title 05.18.10 Congratulations to the 2010 RND Co-Ed Tennis Team on their second consecutive KASSAA TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP victory. Individual junior champions were Eden Hatley in girls singles, Jamie Wright and Connor Santoni in boys doubles, Kristen O Neil and Erin Brennan in girls doubles, and Cassy Santoni and Jacob Gordanier in mixed doubles. Ben Plazzota and Shelby Jansen won for senior mixed doubles. Thanks to all tennis team members who participated in the tournament and contributed to the team victory. Good luck to all individual finalists and champions as they advance to play in the EOSSAA Championships next Tuesday at the Kingston Tennis Club.
