Plans for Tuesday, May 21: Semi-Final vs Lasalle 05.18.13
Mr. McKenna and Mr. Davies are working to make arrangements in preparation for the Semi-Final game.
- the team will travel to Lasalle by bus. The bus will leave RND (Cowdy St. Entrance) at 12:15. Players will attend their period 1 and period 2 classes and have lunch right after period 2. During the later part of the lunch period players should change in preparation for the rugby game. The bus will bring players back to RND after their Semi-Final game.


Junior Rugby Conquers the Crusaders in the Quarters 05.17.13
In a very tightly contested match that was tied 7-7 at the half, Regi raised their game playing into the wind in the 2nd half and ran out 19-10 victors. RND Scorers: Ameen Aghamirian 3 tries, Sean Storr 2 converts

Strong in Sydenham 05.09.13
The RND Junior Boys Rugby team traveled to Sydenham to face the Golden Eagles on their home field. As the result of some controlled and determined rucking from Alan Killoran, Edward Chawkowski and Angelo Matusdiaz the Panthers had a steady stream of attacking ball on their way to victory.. Regi's backs made good use of this advantage and spun the ball wide to use the full width of the field to good advantage.

Conquering the Crusaders 04.30.13
In the junior match the Regi came out fast with the wind at their back and jumped out to an early lead. The score was 17-3 at the half. In the 2nd half battling into a strong wind Regi managed to score 2 more tries before Holy Cross scored 2 late tries to narrow the score to 31-17. Tries were scored by Tyler Leach 2, Isiah Higgs, Ameen Aghamirian, Sean Storr. Sean Storr kicked 3 converts.

Regi Rugby Home Opener 03.23.13
The Panthers spread the ball all over the field and similarly spread out their scoring as they defeated the Frontenac Falcons by a score 26 - 5 in the finale of a Rugby tripleheader on the Brother O'Gara field. RND scorers included; Jamall Branker, Sean Storr, Isiah Higgs, Cole Cooper and Ameen Aghamirian.

Wed. Apr. 10 - Jr. Boys Rugby - 8 am to 5 pm
- 2 x 15 minutes halves with 5 min halftime
- games tied at the end of regulation time will be decided by 22 m kicks (3 kicks for each team then sudden death)

Spring Season 2013 - Tryouts
All RND Student-Athletes must complete and submit to a RND Teacher Coach a Student Athlete Participation Form before participating in any tryout session. These forms can be downloaded and printed (Click Here) for careful completion before the first tryout session. Information about introductory team meetings, workout and tryout sessions will be communicated through: this web site, morning announcements, hallway posters and other methods leading up to the beginning of the spring sports season.
Student Accident Insurance
The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board does not provide any accidental death, disability, dismemberments medical/dental expenses insurance on behalf of the students participating on school teams. To cover any potential medical or dental costs, parents are encouraged to consider purchasing the Student Accident Insurance Plan made available by Regiopolis-Notre Dame at the beginning and throughout the school year. Participation is voluntary and costs are to be paid by the parent or guardian. This insurance will provide coverage for school activities as well as activities outside of the school day.
