EOSSAA Golf Champions 09.30.11
Today was a good day for the Panthers. The bad weather held off (for the most part) and RND captured the EOSSAA championship by 7 strokes over Almonte. Scores for the day were: Conor Rodrigues - 74, Mike Henry - 77, Jesse Hogan - 78, Clayton Presant - 82. The team played smart golf through the day, with Conor Rodrigues leading the way with a 2-over par 74. The first back nine seemed to cause more problems than the front, but all four RND golfers finished strong (Presant birdied #17 & #18, Rodrigues birdied #18, Hogan birdied #18). Rodrigues was also awarded the silver medal in individual play on the day, as his 74 was the second lowest score posted on the day.

KASSAA Golf Champions 09.27.11

Its the first golf championship for RND. Four golfers now qualify for EOSSAA competition on Friday, September 30. Check the team site for information and action pictures from our Golf group.

The nine hole matches will be played with 6 players (4 scores count) and the 18 hole championship will be played by four players (3 scores count). The culmulative scores from the three matches will determine the top teams from KASSAA (two qualify for EOSSAA). The two low individuals who compete at EOSSAA will be determined from the 18 hole KASSAA Championship - (any player not on the two top teams of four players). Each school may bring an additional four players not from their team of four to the 18 hole championship. (Additional information is on the KASSAA web site).
