Vinnie
McQuaide
played hockey and baseball at Regiopolis College in the
1920s; played on the 1928-29 hockey championship team at
Regi; renowned in Kingston as one of the top baseball
players in Kingston history; deceased. Ann
Fallon
played
basketball at Notre Dame in the late 1940's; played on the
1948-49 team that captured the Whig Standard trophy
emblematic of the top female intermediate team in Kingston;
now resides in Ottawa and is a nun in the Congregation of
Notre Dame. Doug
Glover
starred in football, basketball, and hockey; quarterback of
the 1944 Championship team featuring such greats as Neil
McCarney and Oliver Prevost. Stu
Jerome
played football and basketball at Regiopolis College in the
late 1940's; captain and star halfback of the 1948 Senior
Football Championship team of Eastern Ontario; all around
athlete; attended the University of Western Ontario and was
coached by the famous Johnny Metras (played on the first
night game team). Neil McCarney














starred
in track and field, football, and basketball; held the Eastern Ontario
Basketball Association record for points in one game in 1940 - 43 points;
was the sprint champion in the 100, 220, and 440 yards in two age divisions
at one time; played football at the university level at Queen's under
Bob Elliot and at Western under the legendary John Metras; was the first
Regi student after WW1 to play at the university level; now a resident
of Wnnipeg, Manitoba.
